Hi, I’m Emma.
I am an expert in Chemistry, and I am also an expert explainer. My love of Chemistry was ignited during my very first lesson in Year 7 when I used a Bunsen burner for the first time, and it has continued ever since. At Chem with Dr Em, I combine this love of Chemistry with my enthusiasm for teaching to deliver bespoke, one-to-one lessons in GCSE and A Level Chemistry.
Whether you need support to improve your grades, practice your exam techniques, or push yourself to achieve your highest potential, I can help enhance your learning in a friendly and supportive manner, boosting your confidence along the way.
After working as an editor for a prestigious Chemistry journal and then as a Medical Writer, I found my calling and re-trained to become a teacher in 2012 and have since held the positions of Head of A Level Chemistry, Head of Chemistry, Sixth Form Academic Progress Tutor, and Assistant Director of Sixth Form at an Outstanding School. I became a UK and international online Chemistry tutor in 2023, and I am also an experienced GCSE and A Level Chemistry examiner.
